Ok I just got my NTC3 yesterday and assembled it. When i get to the last part to install my engine I notice a problem. It appears to be somewhat to big. The engine I'm using is the OS .12 cvr-x. When I put everything together it is to long to fit in the car! It seems as though the outputshaft the the clutch and flywheel attach to on the engine is too long. Is this possible?? I'm not sure what to do about it , the output shaft seems to be about 1/4 inch or so too long. Everything fit fine when I had it in my Hpi RS4 3. Should I cut the shaft on the engine so the flywheel and clutch can be mounted properly or did I miss something? The kit I got was the rear exhaust one but I got the different parts to make it a side exhaust car. Please can someone help me out on this I'm completely lost.

That's the biggest problem with the ntc3. You gotta cut the shaft. And the engien will now not fit on any other car because it's got a cut shaft.

Have you read all the threads on cutting your shaft?
Did the kit come with a cut off nut?
If you have any question, ask them before you cut....

PM me if u have any questions regarding the cutting of the shaft. i have now done it for 4 different engines in both my AE cars.

Yeah I found all this out when I talked to a neighbor of mine. I cut the shaft finished the assembly and everything worked. However about halfway through the second tank on the car I hit a curb and broke the front suspension mount. :whack:
