I originaly had my brushless motor for my XTM, but I've had enough of that now, since I've had the motor for nearly a month and havnt even been able to use it for half an hour. It just keeps causing more and more problems. But anyway, i put my brushless motor into my TT01 now, it still needs to be tuned for it, but its a lot faster than it was before. I also got some new wheels aswell, doubt they're going to last long though. I'm just looking out for a shell now, because i have a 350z bodyshell, but its looking pretty beaten up.
Ill probably have way too much power for drifting, but atleast it will be fun! :D
Does anyone else use a brushless motor for drifting?

I was JK. Lots of people use brushed motors too. There are some tracks that will only allow brushed, stock, etc. drifting. My track doesn't, so we all run brushless.

kinda off subject but does any one know if the tt 01 rx7 comes with flip up headlights or was what i saw on you tube custom work

I think it does, but i think that they dont move, they are always up. Not 100% sure though.

I took my TT01 out today, for the first time with the brushless motor, and it doesn't seem any faster than the motor i had in it before. Any suggestions as to why this isnt working like it should? Thanks.

what kv is the motor and how many cells are you running on it? also have you tryed adjusting the esc...

Not all brushless motors are faster. You may want to change your gearing of change the motor to a higher KV motor.

It should be a lot faster, since before i only had a 19t brushed motor. This is a 12t brushless. How much would it cost to change the gearing?, and do you have any suggestions?

I've never seen a brushless motor rated by turns. I usually see it by kv or the way Novak does it (Don't know what it's called).

What is your current gearing setup? You want your FDR (Final Drive Ratio) to be around seven. That should be around 20-22 gear pinion and a 59-61 gear spur. I am running 21-59 right now and I love it.

The motor says on the box that it is 12t.

I'm not sure what the gearing is, because i got it used. But ill buy the new spur and pinion gear. Thanks for your help :)
