I have an ESC that was in my son's stuff, it was just in a box and connected to a brushed motor - is there a difference between using it on a brushed or brushless motor and is there a way to test it to see if it still works good?

brushless uses a different run cycle than brushed brushed is+/- only brushless is 3 wires with pulsating voltages
