i have a savage x and just got breaking it in and tuned it a little and it doesn't run very fast and I'm conserned it is 25-35 degreese will that affect it

Well you should never break in an engine below 45 degrees f. But if you must then have a temp guage handy so you know that motor is hitting at least 190 degrees. Chances are if you "tuned it" you probably leaned it out, correct? You need to run about one extra full turn out (high speed needle) when it's freezing out. It probably needs more fuel and a new plug, but it could be too late. Also to achieve a good engine temp try wrapping the head with something. I use paper towels folded up to a 2 inch strip held on tightly with duct tape. Just be careful it can get too hot in any weather!

well i had no choice i got it for christmas and it gets cold i have only tuned the high speed needle and only one 8th turn and no more

yes use a sock with a rubber band around the head it will keep the motor warm

The choice is all you. Break it in when it's that cold and have an engine that never runs right and doesn't last long at all. Gotta temp gun? Did you read up on the heat cycling method? Read your manual until you understand it? Run the hell outta this one and break the next engine in right. You'll have a way better experience.

I'm pretty sure u wouldnt wait 3 plus monthes just to use ur nitro truck u got for christmas and even if it isnt running to full potential i will still have fun so I'm not going to run the hell out of it

I would plan on a new engine for spring, can't blame you for wanting to run the truck lol. Cold temps are very harsh on these engines, it's hard to maintain a good temp and tune and this will shorten it's life. Keep this engine for next winter, I think it's best to have a summer and winter engine and swap them out accordingly.
