If the invitation is open, I wouldn't mind going out there. Yhe one thing that would concern me is that I have a stock T-Maxx, stock AM radio and I'm new to this. What do you sugest I do about the radio frequency?

What I suggest is pick up 2 more sets of different freq. crystals. THis way you have a couple more options. I'm sure most of the driver's will be running on FM.

family hobbies has a web site as to where it is in vineland.
They have a great off road race track.
no 1/8 scale buggies allowed.
http://www.familyhobbiesraceway.com/

Also, saturdays are bad for the park and rides, because there are a lot of commuters that park.
sundays the lots are empty.
Mothers day is out!
unless we go very early. like 7-8 am.
and just hang till like 11:00

Diver is having the bash on the 23rd of May. Contact him for a day of bashing in Queens.

For anyone comming from Jersey, if you are not familiar with NYC and would like to go over in one big group please email me at [email protected] or PM me so that we can organize a meeting place that morning and take the trip together.

Unless someone disagrees we should meet up on the NJ side by 7:00-7:30AM so that we will have enough time to get there. I figure with traffic it will probably take an hour. LMK

Divers RCNT Bash and Dash

Please email [email protected] with your frequency (ies). If you have more than one set of crystals, please bring all you have so that you may be able to help another racer out.

You may register on our forum and familiarize yourselves with some of the QURC racers that will be attending. We are all looking forward to a fun time. If this works out well, you may be invited many more times....the season is just starting. Any questions, email me, post here or on the QURC forum.

God bless America and QURC

Bump! That song is getting stuck in my head. :music:
They don't have that song playing all day at the track do they?
j/k

This is the schedule that we will try to follow on Sunday:

1300- Darkness shuts us down if necessary

This schecule is flexible depending on weather and other conditions. This is the framework for the 23rd. I will ask that you be he early due to the fack that the circus is going to be in the area as well. ANY questions regarding park rules just ask. Went out last Sunday to the Park but Nobody was there

I stopped by last Sunday in Cunningham Park but couldnt find any of the RC Club fellas practicing. Were they there?

For the 23rd bash, I havent practiced in years but could I just show up to practice with the group and not participate in the race or do I have to sign up just to practice?

The race is an onroad race. As far as I know there is no off road race. Come by anyway.

There is off road too. It'll be Grass, dirt, asphalt transition and ramps. We will accomodate everyone.

During the weekdays it's usually me and Markanda (club president) running from 11 am till we break something or call it a day because of weather or no fuel left. For the passed few days we have just been wrenching and aking care of things. There is ALWAYS someone there on Saturdays and Sundays. Everything is dependant on the weather.

BTW, if you wish to show up to "goof around" it's fine. The fee is for those who wish to race. We will be selective for those who wish to enter the lot. Please PM me if you are attending. It will be basically a Closed Event for club members and members of RCNT since you guys are the guests of QURC. Just make sure that you tell the person at the entrance that you are with the RC Nitro Talk forum. Erike1, please email Markanda with your frequency. That is the only thing that we are strict about. Other than that be ready to have fun. No bad attitudes will be tolerated. :hammer:

Also, refer to the headcount thread. The schedule is posted there. Basically, the day opens at 8am.

No chance of having a MT race also on or off road? Looking at the poll from this thread, there should be 7 MT's there. Whadaya think?

The way the race will be structured around is Rally Style. Qualifying times will be posted and brackets will be formed. You may have Monster Trucks against buggies or stadium trucks ... it all depends on your own personal time. It'll be situated where times determine who you run against. If you watch WRC on speedchannel, you'll be familiar with it. It'll be done in pairs.

From the pics on the QURC I can't tell the track setup. Is it an oval or some turns are involved?

looks like an oval with one extra turn. like a kidney bean

Track changes every weekend. We will be designing one tomorrow. Hairpins, long sweepers, speed straights, jumps (offroad). Gonna make it technical.

On the vids, that was just a "fun track." We'll make it challenging for the Dash & Bash.

We might have had the Nascar bug the day of that video. We have some drivers that just love the "technical" track. We will make one to accomodate all levels. Fun is the highest priority of the day. We have run many of these events and they have all been sucesses. Any problems or concerns...tell me diver or post, dont let it go....see you all there ...
