That sucked balls... lol Just got done shoveling the 24" of wet, heavy snow from my walkway & porch.. I'm not even going to attemp the end of my driveway tonight... Looks to be about a 4' high burm from the damn plows... Thank god for 4WD.. lol

i am watching the news and it said its going to snow again this week. get as such snow gone as you can.

I'd trade you all my humid sweltering retiree hell hole for some of that sweet nectar of the gods to ride on......you all may look at those pics like it's work but all I see is a bunch of guys needing to snowboard......

I hope everyone stocked up on food and basic needs.
You just have to look at it as an adventure. Make the best of it.

no need to stock up. All roads are perfectly clear this morning and all seems to be running as if we just got a dusting. In NJ anyways. Now, should this have happened during the week I dont think the gov could have gotten it all cleaned up so quickly.

anyone from massachusetts? January 2005 we had a record 32 inches. cars were covered completely. I took my snowmobile out on the street, State of emergency. i will try to find pictures from that day

I live in Mass for 1 year! Screw that place. I hated being snowed in and having to snow plow my drive way every day.

Here's my weather report...http://www.wx.com/myweather.cfm?ZIP=85242

Wow Ross! I like that one. We have a REALLY OLD craftsman from 1978. It was purchased brand new by my father back then and it still works to this day! I think after this year, it will be officially retired. I'll be looking into getting a new one for next year.

This is what we have been using for the passed 4 years. It's a gravely. 2 speeds (low/high) forward and reverse. 2 speed chute (low/high). On anything 4 inches and below, it'll zip through it with no problem. I actually ahve to do a light jog behind it. The snow thrower attachement can be taken out and replaced with a plow if needed or even a lawn mower. Well, we don't have grass that needs cutting and no need for a plow either so all we use is the snow thrower attachment.

I do still need a smaller snow blower. This one has a 48" opening. Great for the majority of the work but I need a smaller one as well. It's used to clean up what the other one will not reach in a single pass. We would run both at the same time so the entire block will be done in one pass. There's lots of women and geriatrics here on my block. We just take care of everyone while we're at it.

Diver, now THAT is a blower, my friend! Geez, looks like you might need a license for that bad boy! Wow!

We were supposed to get the "White Death" here as it moved East, but it completely missed us! Of course, that didn't stop everyone around here from running to Costco to stock up on everything! I just giggled and worked on my body for the contest!

Good luck East coast! Stay warm and stay safe!

It's a great blower. 12hp Vtwin four stroke with electric start. Makes us feel like Tim Allen. Only problem is that it's not as manuverable like the smaller one. I can't pivot it with ease in deep snow. This is why the smaller one is needed as well. Without the use of a small blower, I would have to make a few passes to make a large enough area where I could turn her, in deep snow.

We were lucky to get this Gravely. We got it for free from my cousins job. He works for Battery Park city here in downtown manhattan. It sat for a season because it would not start. They never winterized it one year and the fuel gummed up the lines, so they gave it to my cousin and we got it. New fuel lines, rebuilt the carb and cleaned out the tank and she was good to go. Gotta love it! Only spent $50 to get this monster going.

whats snow?:ponder2:

they dont even sell snow blowers over here cos we dont even get enough to need our drives shoveling.

I tell ya, and I'm proving both how old I am and how pathetic my life is, that the first thing I thought of when I saw a picture of that monster blower was the movie "Moving" with Richard Pryor. I remember he had a neighbor played by Randy Quaid that had a lawn mower with a 350 engine in it with huge exhaust stacks and a blower and all that and that's what I thought of when I saw that blower, man.

I know, it's a reach with the movie, but if anyone's ever seen it, you'll get the connection.
