I've had my t-maxx for years now and i've been using the O.S. .15 cvx for a while. I'm in a need of a new mill soon and i wanted to see how much the total cost would be to switch to .21 power. This is not including the engine though. I want to know what is needed for a .21 conversion, i know new tranny and diff gears are needed and some CVD's. But what else do .21 trucks run??? Also what's a good .21 chassis, i'm on a budget so UE stuff wont count. I just need some info because if i have the money i might as well go .21

forgot to add, how does a sirio 18 compare to a mild .21??? If going .21 is outta the question i might stick a sirio in my maxx.

A normal .21 kit will cost you around $150...Hardcore costs a bit more, and so does UE. That comes with everything you need minus the engine. You don't need a new tranny or diff gears. Worry about those later on if you start having problems there.

Which Maxx do you have? Pro .15 or 2.5? If you've got the Pro .15 it'll cost you just as much to drop the Sirio in as it will to do the .21 conversion. The Sirio is a great engine. I can spank the 21bb that comes with the Savage, but I haven't raced a Savage with an upgraded engine yet. For all the cash you're about to drop on your Maxx, you could just about buy a Savage lol.

If your looking for a decent low cost kit, I would go for the Dynamite .21 conversion. It just came out & is a complete kit. The only things it doesn't upgrade are the tranny & diffs. I took a look at it "after the fact" and would have considered it myself.
The color is a gun metal gray (not the typical red, blue) and comes with a Mach .26 mill. Definately worth taking a look at.....IMO
Dynamite .21 Conversion kit

i am with fasteddy i would get the cybermaxx. if i would have known that it exsisted when i did my conversion that is what i would have right now but i dont. i got the XTM .21 conversion kit. it was like 120 shipped and it has been good too me so far so i am going to keep it for now.

Hmmm a .21 does sound tempting, but i did this post to just get an estimated cost. I found the Sirio for $179, is that a good price?? GilBeQuick, you mentioned that dropping in a Sirio into my maxx (which is the original pro .15 W/ a .15cvx dropped in) would cost as much as putting a .21 Why is that??? If i upgrade to some CVD's and stick in the Sirio that would be around $250-300. Adding a .21 and all the other necessary parts would be around $400 (w/ the motor CVD's and the Extended Chassis) So How come the Sirio upgrade would cost as much as a .21 upgrade? Thanks in advance...

i put a .21 conversion and an xtm 24.7 in my truck for $300. the xtm conversion comes with the cvd's and everything

I really like the RC Limited .21 conversion like the one IMBroken has. The thing is it doesn't some with any CVD's. But for $299 including the Hyper ENgine it seems like a pretty good deal. Correct me if i'm wrong, but if i get this conversion kit all i'll need is some CVD's?? And i guess i can just upgrade the tranny and Diffs later on in the future (although i've heard diffs and trannys crapping out with the Hyper 8 port).

email the salesman at rc limited, he'll make you a better online deal than $299

I have the mutant maxx that highflying linked you to but I have not tested it yet. It's not very cost effective to build it.

yes, i like the .21 conversion and my xtm 24.7 engine. i just got the crazy nut head for the engine and it makes it run so much better than the little stock one. but i have one problem with the conversion kit, the damn cvd's that it comes wiht suck butt. i just can't seem to keep them from breaking. so i am goign to try and find me some UE cvd's
