Never heard of the EB-4 limited? But I dont know every model. If it is the EB-4 special edition 2 pro than thats one of the best and I wish I had it.

Thats the buggy right there that has been offered to me as a roller with pipe ans servos. Can you tell what it is as far as a pro or a
:stupid:

Well I might get that one on a trade on my gt,What would be a good motor for a noob running 1/8th scale.I am not a nitro noob,I can tune with the best of them!:radio:

I would get a good sports pullstart engine until you get comfortable with the whole 1/8 buggy thing. Even a cheap .21 buggy is fast with loads of torque so my suggestion would be an O.S. pullstart .21 or the alike. The Hyper 7, 8 port race seems to be the hot budget ticket so I would give that a good look.

That's the original EB4-Limited. You can tell by the milled out chassis, flat side guards and all the egral red crap. You can also tell by how far the front diff housing and bumper sticks out on it. Because of how far it sticks out, the buggy has a shovel nose problem (i.e. a lot of times when you land front wheels first the nose will dig into the ground). The shovel nose problem was the main reason TTR released the EB4-S2.

Other than the shovel nose, I always liked my EB4-Limited. It handled great although the plastic and non-egral metal TTR uses is cheap. The plastic in general is softer than Mugen or Kyosho and so is the metal. TTR diff outdrives wore about 10 times faster than Mugen outdrives. Same with the shock shafts. They will bend easier than Mugen or Kyosho shafts.

As for an engine, if you know how to tune engines there is no reason to get a sport engine. 1/8th scales are much easier to drive then 1/10th scale trucks and in any serious competition on a large track, people will be running fast engines. Get something like an RB S7 or a Novarossi SBK/P5/etc.

Overall, I don't know if I would recommend an the original EB4 because of the shovel nose. Also, if you are buying it just on pictures it would definately be hard to tell how used it is.

Well I got it down to a mugen, hyper 7 ,7.5.The three major choices.I am probly going to buy a package from some body or I will buy a roller and get the hyper 8 port motor. My freind has on in a pirate 10 and It looks way fast! The main reason that I am getting itno 1/8 scale is for durablity.I got totaly sick of my gt breakin amost every time I raced it!Not because I was hittin stuff but like trannes and clutches screws backin out and bustin other stuff.I checked it after every heat.I got the gt because it was a simple truck.(simply a pos)The 1/8th scale buggies I have seen run look it be tanks!Very hard to break and very fast!
