hey, i just bought ANOTHER savage x 4.6 rtr but I'm opening the package now and there is NO rotostart OR DRIVESHAFT... I dont get it... what do i do in this case, lhs closed now and HPI as well. Does HPI send me new one then?

DON'T RUN IT OR ANYTHING!! March back into the LHS you got it and exchange it for a new one. You mess with it there maybe a chance they don't beleive you. Take it back man.

Ok.. Thanks.. I can't deal with Hpi to send me new one? Just cuz lhs is long drive from house ...

If you bought it at a hobby shop, then THEY are responsible for it, NOT HPI. If someone else had a problem, they probably gave them the starter out of another box. Now YOU have that other box.

If you got in in a sealed box, not resealed by the hobby shop, only then would HPI be responsible for sending you a new one.

rolex.. this is the only time i disagree with you.. sorry and it wont happen again... hpi is completly responsible for shipping a complete model to the hobby shop. if the hobby shop notices a part missing they are reqired to go back to hpi.. they may be nice and hook you up, but then they will have to deal with hpi... hpi has great costomer service and if you cantact them, they will be responsible.. for some reason it is more common with hpi then traxxas. I've read many threads on the hpi forum and they all leed up to contacting hpi. alot of good feedback from hpi overnighting parts with minamal "proof"... i would contact the hobby shop first, being that you may beable to just run down there.. but if not hpi will defanitly help you...

That was my point. That's why I mentioned the sealed box. A radio I purchased from the LHS was missing 2 items when I got it home, so they took the items out of the next box. That's probably what happened here, that's why I suggest he check with the LHS first.

It better not....

yea it sucks, BUT YA IT WAS FACTORY SEALED NEVER TORN OR cUT OFF...

Then it's up to the LHS to get the missing parts from HPI, and if you tell them it's a long ride, they should give you the starter from the display, and order a new one for themselves.

You agree, don't you itsalifeworthliving? I thought you might.

loool, ok Thanks rolex.. But honestly. id rather deal with HPI and just order it from them, time doesn't matter to me i already have another 1 but i just want my second cuz i PAID for it

Ah, understandable. At least you can start it with the one you have. To save yourself the long ride, you should at least call the LHS and confirm it with them first, then ask them if they need to contact HPI on your behalf, or if you can do it directly. Either way, have your receipt and info ready.
