I have a savage 4.6 w/ a lrp .30 motor. When driving it will all of the sudden kick out of gear and once the rpms drop low enough, it kicks back into gear...Can anyone help me????

sounds like clutch slipping? check your clutch.

Have you checked your slipper clutch? It sounds like it's tad loose and you're overpowering it. You may need to pull it apart and scuff up the surface to break the glaze if it's got a bit warm from slipping.

I have tightened the slipper all the way down...would it possibly be in my clutch shoes in the clutch bell?

Yes,that's the next place to check.

Dont tighten it ALL the way down. If it wont move with it slightly loosened, (1/8-1/4 turn) then its not that. I'd say something is wrong INSIDE the clutch. Shoes, spring, or inside of the bell.

I'll bet it's the one way bearing inside the trans.

i am a fan of the owb in the tranny, mine went in my xl and it rev up, and when the rps got low enough it would go, and then kick out.
