my revo is all stock, 5 weeks old and it stopped down shifting. I've run a gallon through it so far. its my first rc and I've done all i can to destroy it, but it just keeps going.

with my current problem i dont have an issue driving around in high gear cause it still moves pretty good, but the thing goes rich and dies flooded. thats too much work. :(

i did drop by my local shop and they offered the suggestion of the centrifugal shifter thingy getting stuck. i didnt buy it yet cause I'm not in to tearing apart the transmission just yet. thats why i dont know the part name too. :p:

any other ideas or experiences? the part is cheap, $14 so thats not too bad.

I guess your LHS already tried to adjust it and it didn't work. If that's the case, go for the $14 and replace it or you'll be replacing the clutch soon.

lhs? is that where i can adjust the shift point? i havent touched that yet.

oic.. no, i informed him that i have never adjusted it and he did not investigate further on that.

That's the first thing to do. Read your manual, find the proper Allen wrench, and turn the adjusting screw counter clockwise, a little at a time, till you reach the shift point you prefer.
It also sounds like the guy at your hobby shop is clueless.
If you need more info, just post it here. We'll get you going.

i hope i can get some time at it today. when i do i will post my results. counterclockwise.
