Thanks for the respond. I've had chance to get into the engine, first of all the openings on the sleeve are twisted and out of shape, there are indeed scores on the inside of the sleeve. But when it comes to the piston, there are alot of lines, but they're not lines that you can feel, like deep digs or so, just lines that have been lightly imprinted. Anyways, i'm getting a new sleeve fabricated and the piston kind of resurfaces because there are scores on the piston, like chips. Will this get my nitro engine running?

Being a master A.S.E. certified auto tech and working on nitro engines for 13 years you should have someone with a little more experience repair this engine. I have seen people try to repair their engine by taking advice on a forum and all they do is waste their money. A lot of advice is good and some not so good and it is up to you tho try and figure out who is telling you the best way. The way you described your situation the engine has to be totally rebuilt. Sand will hide in places you can't possibly know about if your not experienced in rebuilding one. Sand DID go through your bearings, piston & sleeve, front bearing oil passage (if so equipped) and in between the crankshaft and crankcase (clearance is important there) and most likely in between your crank journal and con-rod. Your best bet, if you don't take it to someone experienced in nitro engines, is to replace it entirely and you will have more fun than headache. Chalk it up as a lesson that you will not forget. It has happened to the best of us even with cable ties.
