Hi i am new to this forum and i have been using r c cars for about 2 years off and on and i am now looking at buying a real car to drag race and i have read extensivly on the use of NoS in cars both dry and wet systems. I have a fairly vast knowledge of pharmaceutcals and chemicals and i know that nitrous comes in over the counter forms, whipped cream can refills "whippet") cartreges, potato chip bags, and others and i had the idea to get my 1 year old xtm 247 engine which is running well and some how get nitrous into the engine. i have several ideas on how to do this but the most practical IMHO would be to (crudely stated) spray a whippet cartrge at the air filter while it was running. this seems like a very good idea knowing what nitrous does to a real car tell me what u think of my idea ps if this does work i would get a 3 channel radio wit a servo hooked up to a screw valve which is hooked up to the whippet which is then connected with a peice of fuel tubing directly into the air filter housing and remember in real cars nitrous hp gains of 150% are not un common. thx sorry if this was too long

It's been done.....there's another post on some Mag doing a review......Unless you are doing drag racing exclusively w/ the mill I just don't see it being that great of a mod to do to a 2-stroke nitro mill.....it would be pretty cool as a novelty item but as far as true raceing equipment...it doesn't belong.....
as for your design it would be fairly easy.....make a check valve in a threaded cap for the "whip-it" canister and use the servo to open a small valve instead of cracking the can....drill a small hole into the carb body and stuff/seal the tube going into it.....that would be pretty crude but should "git-er-dun"

now just need to actuate it remotely w/ a micro servo......good luck....and get video of the maiden voyage please :D

i just seen this today in diald mag. nitrous express is making a kit for r/c cars/trucks now. they have it injstalled on a savage. check out their web site.not sure on price though.
