Do you think I could make a nitro vee engine (liquid cooled pro.15) fit in my tmaxx? Maybe have some kind of water resivoir onboard with an icepack to cool the water. Braided steel lines so it wouldn't melt... I think that would be sweet.

You could probably make it work, but by the time you added in a liquid pump, radiator, and whatnot, you'd have far too much weight added to the truck. Not to mention, the engine's power curve is not suited for a maxx. It's a good idea, though. I don't doubt that some day, a 4 stroke engine will come with a liquid cooled option.

And I will save for that day... I was just kind of thinking, do you need a liquid pump or does the engine circilate it on its own? And you think if I did this the 2.5 engine I have now would kick its a$$???

If i'm not mistaken the cold water from the lake or pond the boat is running in is circulated by the prop forcing water into a pick up tube, then around the head and back into the water, so you would need some sort of a pump and a radiator with a fan to cool the water down...

Most boats pick up water when they are moving, . Some are equipped with electric pumps so they can also cool while idling. Either way, they do not need radiators since they are sitting in a supply of cool water.
Boats, like planes, run on an almost constant RPM, and do not work NEARLY as hard as Monster Truck or Buggy engines. Whatever you add to the engine, either pump and radiator, battery or belt driven, will only add weight or drag.

dam. Oh well I figured it wouldn't work. I know it would add huge ammounts of weight but maybe for a shelf queen... But we don't do that here at RCNT do we?

Its terrible, that people make perfectly good, super nice RC's and put them up on Nice shelves in glass boxes to seal out contaminents.

What total Dorks! At least mine isn't in a glass case...it's made to run!!!

By the way, you also need to check the displacement, HP and RPMs of both engines to see what else you'll lose by water cooling.
