I want to get into 1/10 nitro cars ( i ahve been racing smaller scale electric cars upto now) so I am pretty much a newb at this stuff.

I really like the nitro tc3 for its quality and everything...but what I dont like is the fact that the rtr is built ( I would like to build my own car) and so I am very interested in the kit version...

What parts would I need for the kit version (to buy extra), and what do u recomend pull start or non pull start?? and how much all of this would cost cause I dont have thousands of dollars to spend on rc cars :)

and also if u think that the nitro tc3 would not be the best choice please tell me what the better car would be and more importantly how much it costs :bling:

You will need an engine, two servos, reciever, and transmitter. you will also need a 200mm body.

You will also need the usual...batteries for reciever and transmitter, fuel, glow starter, fuel filter, better air filter.

As for the pros and cons of pull vs bump, i'm not qualified to say, I do know that pull start will be cheaper due to the fact you wont have to buy a starter box, batteries and chargers.

you can check here for the price of a kit....doesn't include the extras.

Welcome zizi to RCNT!

I really dont feel right about welcoming someone. I just got here myself.

Anyway. You cannot go wrong with the NTC3. It is a great car on a great platform. I myself am partial to the Yokomo GT4 because I own one. You could get the GT4S RB kit which has a RB Concepts x12 motor and tuned pipe in it. All you would need is a radio and servos and a starter box. Another car to look at is the new shaft drive Mugen MSX 3 or the MTX 3.

If you are just starting out in nitro, I think the NTC3 kit is a great start. If you dont want to spend to much, go with a pullstart engine. That will save you from having to buy a starter box. You will need a radio and servos with the NTC3 kit I believe. You will also need a glowplug igniter, and fuel. I think that is it to get started.

Good Luck!

I have this car and I like it alot (I'm sure you will too). One of the first things I suggest to getonce you have all the neccesities is a good set of allen drivers (the allen keys in the kit suck arse). Have fun

I just finished putting mine together and I will agree with the allen key comment. I bent up the set that came with it, not from over torqueing just using them. Plus bent up a few cheap craftsman ones i had. Seen a set of 6 Titanium ones online for $25 but I lost the link?
