Need some help with deciding what mods to do to my nitro sport, I plan on getting a 3.3 engine with rb mods turbo head, so any ideas on what other mods to do?

What is done to it now, what are your plans for the truck? Upgrade the drive shafts to the rear ones from a Slash 4x4 to handle the power.

It is completely stock right now, but I don't really know what to do to it, maybe a aluminum chassis, Iam new to the hobby so I really don't know what to do other than a new engine.

What do you plan to do with it, speed runs, bashing with big jumps, general off road with just small jumps?

I'd get RPM arms, shock towers and front bumper. Traxxas big bore shocks, the drive shafts that I mentioned before, better tires, 2.4ghz radio and better servos. If you get the 3.3, grab the exhaust from a Jato. Convert it to the electric front axles, this will give you more wheel options as well as allow you to rotate tires as they wear down.

Basically just general off road w/ small jumps.

What I listed above will get you going. I have both the Sport and the Rustler, the sport is setup for on road while the Rustler is my basher. I have a few skateboard ramps that I use to launch the Rustler over my head and do back flips with. Look at the Proline Trenchers or Dirt Hawgs when you're looking at tires, these are great all terrain tires. If you can keep it to just off road, the Badlands are an excellent tire but will wear pretty quickly on road.

Do you have a LHS? Where did you get the truck? Tower Hobbies, A Main Hobbies, Horizon Hobby and there's always Ebay. If you have a LHS, I'd check there, you're more likely to get better help if you're supporting them.

The closest hobby shop is about 45 miles from me, but Iam gonna check it out sometime next week, they even have their own track so will probally start going there. But thanks for all the help.
