I am wanting to build a nitro SC10. Kind of an Associated slayer. I was thinking of stretching the chassis on my GT2 adding bumpers, nerf bars, sc10 wheels, and sc10 body. What yall thinking. Will it work? Any input very welcome.

already have a gt2 - love corr trucks - love nitro. Besides I'm just a poor man trying to make it in a rich man's world, LOL, I just really like projects. They're my form of therapy.

Main Chassis Plate

extended the main chassis 1 5/8 inches.

Sorry for the slow start. I work a swing shift and was on 3rd shift last week. It takes all I can do just to survive.

I have heard mixed reviews of the SC10 thus far. One of our local fast Pros bought the first one at the LHS and he has had nothing but problems with it thus far. Everytime he drives it he breaks something. He originally bought it to race the Pro-Lite class, and has since reverted back to his modded Slash instead since that thing hardly ever breaks on him. He got an early model though, so hopefully AE will work out some of the kinks in it. He also runs a Nitro SC8 and LOVES that rig.....so just something about the new SC10 that may need some revision.

reassembly

Got it all put back together. Made an upper chassis plate extension. Not very happy with how that piece came out but it works so I will live with it.

I used my slash body for mock-up purposes only.

Made a rear skid plate as well. Needed to protect the battery box.

Next will be to make body mounts. Bumpers, wheels, body still to come.

Nice idea, that would be great! How 'bout some little polishing on gears? Steering is an easy fix. ;) And maybe you'll need some shots of race trucks to get an idea of paint schemes!

your truck looks great! good idea. i have an rc10gt and now I'm thinking about converting it like that in the future. good luck with the project

hehe I thought of this idea a while ago so I searched it and its good to see someone is doing this
