Nitro rustler .15 tuning issues

Rustler engine killing at full throttle
I am pretty new to the nitro side of things so any help is good help. I am trying to get a good tune on my car, but don’t want to mess it up in the process. Just got the car about a month ago. I have ran about 10 tanks so far keeping to the traxxas break in method. However as instructed you are eventually supposed to get this thing at full throttle. Another problem is that it is hard to start after it dies, and seems to run better on a full tank. So here is where I am at to answer any questions.

Running 20%nitro
Changed glow plug after tank #7
Outside temp is 40 to 50 degrees
Altitude 4000 ft
Humidity 30 to 50

Welcome to RCNT! The factory stock settings for the Pro .15 are 2 1/2 turns open from closed for the high speed needle and the low speed needle should be flush with the collar it sits in. But with your elevation and cool temps you may need to richen it a little more. I would start with the high speed needle and just richen it about 1/8 of a turn. That should make a difference, and the just dial it in from there.

I just richenened both the high, and the low speed needles about 1/8. Getting better at top speed still a bit choppy at anything above 3/4 throttle.
Thank you for the advice so far. The LHS is not nitro friendly they are all about lipo, so I am glad I found this page.

4000 ft is a lot!

I'm at sea level an took my truck up to the mountains at about 5000 ft ,an my truck wouldn't even stay running ,
so elevation plays a big roll in nitro engines!....+1 what watertrucker said!....

Richned both up just over an 1/8 and wow! She’s finally trying to top out. Still a little choppy at full throttle. Tomorrow I’m going to drive it some more and get a better tune. Any thoughts on weather I should adjust the HSN or the LSN?

Get your HSN dialed in first and then deal with LSN.

Thanks guys for all the feedback!! She runs great!
Gets up to top speed on the black top, but struggles on grass or dirt. Any ideas on how to give this thing some more torque?
