hey i need some help guys... i have a 1/10 buggy with a .18 engine in it..... i really want to put a .21 engine in it but could i and how would i cuz on a .21 engine the pipe is on the left and a .18 the pipe is on the right? please help!?

It'd be easiest to find an engine that is configured the way that the .18 that is on it is. Otherwise you'll have to move components around to make everything work. The type of vehicle, engines and budget would be helpful. Pictures would be really helpful.

Hi. I dont have an answer for you as I am brand new to RC and nitro engines. I do know that this is a Redcat Racing buggy and I did do a lot of research just recently on this brand. My suggestion would be to send Redcat an email and ask if they have an engine upgrade like that available already. Just a thought :) I did a quick search and only came up with a pull start that would fit both the smaller engine an the .21 engine. I did not find an actual .21 on their site under the Tornado though. But you probably already know all this.

hi. i recently changed the stock engine in a rush evo. The only problem i came across was the carb. On a .18 it will normally be a twist type. On the larger .21 it will be a slide carb. Trying to get the servo to work correctly with the right links can be a struggle. The physical size shouldn't be a problem.

I wouldn't take a chance on putting a .21 in the place of a .18 on a redcat. Going through the trouble and money just to find that the drivetrain can't handle it would be a bummer. Maybe somebody with experience with these rigs can chime in.
