Usually they just change it. Thats wierd that they didnt. Maybe you can find a cheap piston and sleeve if you want to keep your engine.

As I stated before I have already replaced the engine with the .18; I will rebuild the .15 so I can one learn and two not be without my truck. I have emailed HPI to see if them (on the outside change) will work a deal since the truck is so new. I will keep you upto date. I don't think I'll buy HPI again.

Just a quick note: I took the .15 HPI engine apart tonight. Therer was a lot of residue (I think Carbon) build up in the area below the piston. I have also notices that the top of the piston had small nicks on one of the edges. I also noticed nicks in the smooth area where the head goes, very small but then again the engine is small. I am not impressed with the quality control at HPI; at least with this engine.

Tonight I am going to take pictures and post them, working on weapons I know that you always have some slight imperfections so I want to see if these are normal or not.

Two of the Pictures

Id like to see them. can't wait for the pics.

Here are two of the pictures that came out; I am going to try to get a better camera to take more.

Everone have a Happy Thanksgiving..
