Hey,

I've got a used Nitro Hawk (.15 engine) and the current plastic brake kinda sucks. I wanted to upgrade to a disc brake system (hopefully it will brake better). I've never done this before and am not sure exactly what I need (parts, tools,...), how to do it, and just how it will work. Its kinda hard to find info for older cars. Anyone have any suggestions or comments (links to websites perhaps)? Maybe it's just a bad idea to try it on such an old car. I'd like to see some detailed diagrams if anyone has some.

Thanks for the hand,
Boron

Well, good luck with your project. I have no clue honestly. The brake system on the hawk is this white plastic thing wraps around and constricts some moving part (can't remember off the top of my head).

I have a Nitro Hawk at home that I bought for my son. It has the Image 12 engine in it. I don't know a whole lot about it. I think I'm the only one in the forum that owns one though.

Good Luck and welcome to RCNT!

Hey,

Thanks for the info. It seems to be an older toy - so I figured I would be on my own here ... even in this sort of forum. Oh well ... If I come up with some sort of contraption for braking I'll let you know.

Boron
