Just wondering what temps should my fuel be stored between? I ask cause the furnace in my house broke, and the temps been up and down all day from like 10*c to 19*c. All I've seen online is change in temps can make the fuel foul and not to let it freeze.

Well it won't freeze and I'm kinda in the same boat. I recently purchased 2 new gallons of fuel and my basement is not all that warm living in buffalo ny. My idea was to put my unopened fuel in a double plastic bag and then put it into 2 reusable shopping bags. I then stored my fuel upstairs where it can stay near room temp. For your situation it depends if you already opened it. If its unopened you can put it a plastic bag and then wrap it in a blanket for now. If the fuel is from last year then I would consider just dumping it at a place that recycles oil.

I would consider just leaving it alone. As long as it's closed, in a plastic jug, and inside your home you have nothing to worry about.

True! Never store fuel on cement. It allows the fuel to get cooler, causing it to pull in moisture! Block of wood works great!

Cool, dry, dark spot that doesn't vary in temp will work fine. I store mine in the basement in a cabinet. Just found some in my basement that I forgot I had and it was well over 8 years old tried it in a older motor and it seemed to work just fine. I certainly wouldn't recommend keeping fuel that long but if stored properly it should last a few years from what I've seen..

Once you close it up it'll take moisture from the air inside the jug and that's it. As long as it's not left open or opened and closed a million times it'll be fine. The worst that can happen in most cases is bad performance. The oil isn't going anywhere.
