My local hobby shop only had big bottles of fuel all were near 30 bucks.

I am wanting to see if my older rc car engines will run, will break in nitro work good enough to get a few tanks through an engine to make the vehicle run again, I dont care if its fast just good enough to run.

I bought blue thunder break in fuel because it was onlt 13 bucks.

Thanks

I run my engines on 20% and when theyre worn and I want more life out of them for a few tanks I use 30% nitro blend...The 30% doesn't heat up the engine as much so the sleeve expands less and engine seems to have more compression and life via rebuilding but its only a temporary remedy.Depending on how you tune the engine with the break-in fuel it may run hotter than regular fuel and die more...Theres a guy on ebay that will resize and pinch your cylinder/piston for $20 bucks providing they have no scratches.....Good Luck

but it should run good enough to make the car move and run a few tanks through it?

I didnt want to buy a big jug of %20 since I doubt I would use it. But I wanted to make sure the engine would still run before I put more money into the car.

If the engines been sitting for some time you may want to disassemble, inspect, clean, lube and seal up the engine and carb...change the lines, clean the fuelfilter, change the glowplug, inspect the whole clutch assembly for smoothness , wash out the fueltank and reset carb needles to factory settings before trying to start it up...Taking the time to service the problem areas can result in the vehicle running really good enough to use without alot of tuning related problems afterward aswell as problems associated with stalling and fouling to make the engine appear no good....Good luck

I cleaned it before putting it away and I got the engine moving freely, I used some eletric motor oil to get it moving and then I put more oil in it and used my started to spin the engine with and without the plug.

everything should be good to good to get in running, just wondering if I should just spend the money and buy %20 and take back the break in fuel.
