Nitro Fuel for 2.5 T-Maxx?

What fuel are you all running? I bought some 10% nitro fuel cool power, and I think that may have been why I blew the motor unkown but it was an old motor that had been worked hard before I got it. I had it tuned at the LHS and ran about 2 tanks in it and bashed a lil bit then boom. But the mechanic told me the motor was old so who knows. My new 2.5 will be here porb tommorow. Alos if I have this fuel and its crap can you mix it with a higher concentration of nitro fuel?

By the way is anyone out there doing anything crazy with extra motor parts?
ie boring, messing with the cranks , piston or sleeves. I have this 2.5 block that I took apart to see what happen So now I have an extra crank case, crank, Carb and head thats just sitting there.

A lot of people like Byrons, trinity, and a few others. I've had great luck with Byron's 20%. Stay away from traxxas fuel. It's too oily.

Ill have to disagree I've been running traxxas 20% for the last 10 years I've tryed odennel,Byrons,Trinity etc The traxxas is inexpensive and holds a tune well..

If you want research voodocustoms you can find a link for them on rcuniverse go to the buy sell section,, click motors, and he has a link there.. he can modd an engine for about $75 and up.. I tried a mod on a picco .26 maxx by looking at his pictures and i'll have to say I see a better Idle and better to top end.. hope this helps

i love the traxxas top fuel 20%...i got 8 galons threw my engine before it started to loose the vaccum in it..Just yesturday i went out and bought me a new 3.3 engine!

Traxxas is oily and leaves more residue but I never had any problems running it. It's not the cheapest here any more.
