Hello,

I think i bought a junk evader (used). I cannot/barely :devious: make it start. I have to hold the throttle really high, so it will not die, but it will go everywhere. When i tune down the throttle, the car die. I really really have hard time to start the engine again. I found out the the flywhhel is moving sideway :devious: . Is it a broken engine?? I have already re-connected (make it longer) pressure line and put a new O-RING for the gas tank, & new glow plug, and all still the same. I also put the TMAXX exhaust pipe as i think the stock one is not generating enough pressure.

If i need to replace the gas tank, which one i should get?
If I need to replace the engine, what engine will fit, i am cool with a .12 for budget? As, my friend need to modify a OS 0.12 in order to fit into a TMAXX, and i do not want to do the same thing?
Anyone knows the warranty info?
I took out the head, and found scratch inside the engine? IS it normal?

can you please really help? I have been fixing it 3 weeks already!!!

Cheers

Drew

i sold mine and all i have to say is the the dtx.18 engine is trash can't believe o.s. made it. i had to put my hsn almost all the way in to keep it running and it was about 280 f. so I'm not sure. the o.s. .12 cv is a direct fit and the .15cv i believe because thats what i was going to get but i got the hpi mt instead and the .15 has good power to me

do you still have the stock pipe? and whats the temp.... and what glow plug you are useing?

DTX 18 was made by OS but I don't think they are all that great, I have one too and its powerless, clutch sucks too. If you want to go with a .12 get the OS .12 CV-RX and get an AE RC10GT clutch and flywheel for pull start. You will still have to use the prop washer as a spacer so the clutch gears align with the spur gear.

i had the stock motor for the nitro evader st... it a good motor when it is tuned right...

Get rid of the DTX .18 the sleeve is coated with nickel instead of chrome, it wears out very quickly and gives you lots of headaches. A .12 cv-rx or .18 cv-rx is a direct swap and built to high quality standards like most OS engines. FYI, I have the .18 and it's way too much power, go with the .12 even though it costs more (still trying to figure that one out). With the DTX .18 my truck was fast but still driveable. The .18 cv-rx is insane, way too much power.
