I havent started my nitro engine for about 5 years now.. i just dug it up in the attic and tried to start it (with 5 year old gas) it started up fine and runs but immediately the car jumps to full throttle at the start. the servo is in the brake position and the throttle is pushed all the way in. I did notice a tear in the throttle cover but that can't be it, right?
thanks for the help.

That engine will need a complete seal job most likely. Along with new fuel lines. That tear is probably the main source of an air leak. Do a search on sealing a nitro engine on this site. Also do yourself a favor and get some fresh gas and a couple of glow plugs.;)

The tear in the throttle cover....if you mean the slide dust boot is a problem. That area needs to be air tight.
