Nitro conversion

Thinking about doing a nitro conversion on the new HPI CUP RACER

Just wanted to know how difficult it would be and if it would be practicable?
It would be a shelf queen (I DONT OWN 1 YET SO DONT JUMP ON MY BACK ABOUT IT) but i still want to know that if i went and stuck fuel in it and a radio system that it would go?

Would it be a half decent project or not really worth it?

Honestly I don't know if it would be a good candidate for a project vehicle the main issue I see is the main chassis being made of plastic making it very flimsy for a nitro setup. But then again anything is possible with enough time and money.
The main question is why do you want to modify the car.

I would say not worth it because of the amount of modification it would take. You would be better off buying a body shell and making the rest since that is what you would have to do anyway.

if you could use the parts and build a aluminium chassie i guess it should work anything can be done with a little bit of thinking here and there

because i think that the car it self it amazing being a datsun fan but electric doesn't interest me and if i was to get 1 i would wanna turn it into NITRO

Datsuns are great cars
Dont get me wrong i wouldnt go and get 1 for my every day drive but i just think they are a very cool car and like the shape of them
My brother use to use em for his speedway cars

so if you find one just go ahead

well they were when i started this thread
havent checked lately because I'm in between moving towns and changing jobs so funds are limited
