Nitro fuel ?

Hey guys, I run 30% nitro in my 4.6 and it runs pretty cool. I just acquired a savage x w/ 4.1 and can't seem to get the engine tuned on 30% so its not so hot you can fry an egg on it. Any suggestions ?
Thanks.

change to the glow plug you run in the 4.6 and see what happens, the 4.1 may have a different temp plug in it. You should be able to tune for that though. Id try the plug first tho

Thanks for the advice ! I'll try both and see what works , I'm not sure what the original owner ran in it. I picked it up for a buddy and I'm just trying to get it right before he gets it.

20% is pretty much the standard and the most widely available. There's not a substantial power gain by running a higher percentage in sport engines.

Being a nitro newby, I was not sure, that's what the lhs suggested. It seems like that's what everyone buys there when I'm there or they talk everybody into it because it cost more. Lol

I run 30-33% in all of my ground vehicles.Just because the engine is hot doesn't bean you will hurt it. get a temp gauge and check the head temp. It also be because of air flow. lots of things go onto effect but you can run the 30% if all is right.
