Hi. I am running a Team associated RC8 with the Ninja MR21 B01A 5 port Off-Road engine and have just bought the MR Ninja EFRA 2053 "FLS" One Piece Inline Tuned Pipe and Ninja "FLS" .21 Off-Road Conical Exhaust Manifold (Short). The manifold came with two copper heat sink shims / gaskets. Would anyone be able to tell me if I need to replace the original shims / gaskets that came with the MR21 B01A. If I do how would it affect the performance of the car? Would anyone also be able to recommend a fuel for this set up.
 
It depends on the percentage fuel you are running. If you are running a new out of the box setup it should be setup (shimmed) already for 30%. You install a shim to lower the compression a little and give you a little longer life but it will take away from performance. Personally I did not install any shims in mine.
