newbie with a 3.3 help!!

hello everybody i am new to this fourm.. i recenelty got a traxxas revo 3.3.. and of course my stupidity didnt watch the cd that came with it .. and i started my revo and and drove it for maybe half a tank of gas and my dad comes running out and says stop !!!. thats right i did not do the brake in procedure... so.. the next day i started to do the brake in proceudre.. i drove it slow around the park lot for a full tank of gas... and rarley gave it full throttle.... some one please tell me i did not screw up my new engine???

I would say to just continue with the break in procedure and hope for the best... If weren't running too hot and you didn't torture it too much, then you probably didn't kill it... I'm sure you took some life out of it though.

Don't feel to discouraged though. I broke mine in properly, but have a hard time keeping my temps below 300° and I think my BRAND NEW engine is on the way out... I have about 3 quarts of fuel through it... It still has the new car smell. haha

i hope not cuz i jsut paid 600$ for it ,.. when i drove it the first time i made it hit second gear .. if you got any more ideas or opinons please tell me .. thankyou for the reply

Just finish with your break in. There's really nothing else you can do.

Hard to say without tearing it down and maybe not even then. Just be mindful of your tune. Any damage that could have been done is already done so no use in worring about it. Traxxas has a great engine replacement program if it does go south.
