I have a t-maxx that started life as a .15 then I ugraded to a 2.5 run for awhile then trans went out! I got on ebay without asking ordered a 4908. Come to find out drive shafts wouldnt work ordered them then realized output shaft wass diff so I need a new spur gear set! So while I'm ordering a 4908 spur gear set do I need to replace the clutch bell? I had a 71t spur gear and a 20t cb. Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks

Your 20t bell should work just fine. I believe the 4908 comes stock with a 22t bell. With the 2.5, lower gearing can only help. I'd grab some new bearings though. Cheap insurance.

thanks, one more question. on ebay the spur gear sets for the 4908 trans that are pulled off a new tmaxx say they have 52 tooth spur gear. my spur wouldn't work cuz the output shaft are shaped diff what tooth spur should I go with?

I'd grab a few different sizes and start with the stock one. That way you can play around if you want a little more bottom or top end. Always good to have spares, too.
