It's funny you bring up soldering cause I knew since shop class in high-school, I was never good at it. LoL. Every time I get a new battery or ESC for my cars or helis, I just take it up to my hobby store and have them do all the soldering lol. I know my limitations 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

truth be told with this nitro thing, having issues with everything from the moment its brand new, is enough to turn me off with it. This was just something I wanted to try and for me at least, turned out to be a waste of $$$$. Live and learn, but I'm glad that people in the community reached out and tried to help me. That's why I love the RC community
Well we hope ya stick around man, even if it’s just for the flashlight whips. We like to see folks succeed around here, and there’s definitely never any shortage of help from knowledgeable cats. 🍻🤘

PLEASE don't do the JB thing lol, I get harassed by that dailey lol

😂🤷🏻‍♂️

Are the servos new?? Also I would find the carb settings and reset them back just to be sure.i have had engines that are very off out of box and will act strange.i wouldnt recommend pinching the line to kill engine at high rpm to avoid leaning it out.

Everything associated with this nitro car was purchased brand new. Which is the main reason why I'm confused by these issues.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before.
With the air filter off, start the car up, watch the carb slide, is the carb slide moving at all?
The only way you can have the car apply max throttle is if the carb slide is moving to fully open (faulty servo) or you have a massive air leak.

Or just disconnect detach the throttle servo/arm from the carb, and move the carb slide with your fingers.

The idle gap seems a bit big too, starting point 1mm or less.

Good luck!
