newbie engine starts but want run

engine starts but dies as soon as i disconnect the igniter

Have you tried replacing letting it warm up a little before you removed the igniter? If so try replacing your glow plug with a fresh one. See if that helps. You my also have a mixture issue bu try the glow plug first.

Most likely a bad plug. If the platinum is not present on the plug the fuel will fail to cause the reaction which makes it "glow" without an applied voltage. If new plug doesn't work it could be too rich but I'd bet its the plug.

There's also the possibility that the LSN is set too rich. If leaning it out after the warm up doesn't help, then replace the plug.
