RC Driving Style
Hi, I'm new to the hobby and are waiting on the arrival of a revo 3.3 this will be my first truck! Not 100% how old it is etc is there any way to tell or would a pic be better? Thanks
 
pic would be better. a decent one too. not a nokia 6100 photo. main thing to look for tho is the motor. 2.5 or 3.3cc. the 3.3 is obviously the newer one and then there are many more things on top of that which will tell how old or new it is.

looks like it has a big block motor. it has reverse still. i think it is the older 3.3 model? someone else should prob confirm that.

Do you know if this model will have the fail safe on it?

Its Not the Newest 3.3.. the ride height looks alot lower then mine and the Antenna in the new ones can't be seen as its under the body..

But Def has had mods so Hard to be 100% :)

Hope the first owner looked after it.
 
I actually think it might be a 3.3 with an aftermarket head and aircleaner. I want to say Golden Horizon is where the head came from and I think the airfilter is Integy. Outside of that it looks pretty well stock from what I can see
 
I've got te actuall truck now and not just ebay pics! The air filter is definitely integy, the head says nova race pro trx 3.3 It that means anything! It doesn't reverse tho, not sure how to tell if it has a forward only kit on! I can put some proper pics on now I have it If you'd like
 
The only way the FOC kit can be noticed is if you split the tranny open. Actually does the reverse for a Revo act the same as a Maxx? (IDK) If so see if you have a missing servo on the chassis. I wasn't sure who made that head but yes Nova sounds right
 
^^Correction, if it has reverse this picture will not look like his setup.

Where my thumb and index finger is, is what FOC looks like, the tranny shift port will have a wire coming out of it to the opti drive where my thumb is.

Right it defo has the reverse servo and it seems to a crap connection to the servo( been wire fiddling) a slightly more complex 1 ( for me any way) I've just took her out ,first proper blast and chance to open her up fully. When it gets some speed up and spuds like its changing gear it seems to lose power for a second and then pick back up again! Hope you don't mind me picking your brains on this one! Think I'm going to enjoy this hobby with all the fiddling :-)
