I love them both. I looked and ran both before buying one. I liked the Losi alot, but it looked to be to much more money for the repairs and upkeep compared to the RC10 :) Both are excellent trucks though. :)

What is the best break in proedure, i just picked mine up and the manual and my guy at the lhs say 2 different things.
Manual says run in large ovals for a few tanks
Lhs says let idle for 3-4 tanks
And once last thing where should i set my mix screws for break-in

Go with the manual:contract:. But make sure those ovals arent in the dirt, or, going faster than 1/2 throttle. Use the brakes once in a while. For the first tank...Let it idle a little while so it can swallow that fuel. Also...say away from 30% fuel.

i can't get it to idle longer than 2-3 minutes

That's a good thing in all respect. The engine will load of if it's running rich. Remember this. Rich = longer lasting Lean = More power + dead engine quicker :)

Break-in's that I do, idle's never happen! The thing usually can't idle until the third tank or so :)

I say read the manual and do exactly what it says. I go a little more extreme though, I like the fact that I know my breaking in motor is so rich that more fuel is coming out than it's burning :)

I will say this though, be EASY on it for the first 5-6 maybe more tanks. I NEVER hit more than 1/2 throttle during break in, and I WILL never. It's a good motto for me. 1/2 is great for full after eight. I break'em in for eight tanks :D

Just be easy on it and do like the manual says. If you run it nice and rich and take it easy, it'll be a nice motor. Go balls to the walls now, might as well rebuild it now :) Anyone here will tell you this, a correctly broken in motor will always be better than an incorrectly broken in motor. :) They'll last longer, perform better, and run better.

how many turns out should the screws be, if i get it to idle it sounds high, and i dont ever see smoke, and when i get it where i think it should be and smell fuel, it stalls out

Most of the time it won't smoke during idle. You should ALWAYS seen a nice stream of smoke under acceleration though. As for the idle, the way I do it is just set it up as fast as I can without the car moving. Just before the clutch engages. This will stop loading up and stalling under heavy acceleration. Also known as.. Punching it!

As for the screw settings, this I can't tell you without knowing exactly what motor and carb you have in it. Does the manuals show you how they should be set? I can try to find the settings, but I'd have to have the motor and carb you're running. You have to find "factory settings". These are essential to breaking in the motor and all of your tuning thereon out. :)
