Id love to upgrade the car in the future, but the intell I find on the car is that the RS4-2 cars dont have many upgrades..this also true?

Welcome to the site!

For your ride, I would make sure the car has no visible defects or problems. Second, Have you seen your friend drive? how does he take care of it on the road and on the bench? Does he wrench it? 125 is decent so long as the rides are running. THese are belt driven rides so look at the belt tensioner and the gears. Look at the arms for bends. What else doe sit come with?

The RS4 2 is a fairly old discontinued model, so it would really depend on the condition and what would be included with the car for that price.

the ad says this
2 cars, complete with manuals, all pieces

Included Controllers, fuel and racing cones

Extra Tires and Components

my corospondance with the guy.. no upgrades bone stock cars

125.. if the price was lower would it even be worth buying?

like if I got it down to 100, ...is the effort really even worth it for the car?

thanks for the reply

What do you want to use the car for? If you want to mainly use it as a parking lot basher I would suggest maybe thinking about a shaft driven car. Belts will pick up small rocks and debris, destroy the belts, and your day is done. Look in to the RS4 3 or NTC3, both of these are shaft driven cars, and much better suited for parking lot bashing. You can also find them in or close to the price range of those other cars.

I agree with NCnitro.. If you are a racer then maybe... but for parking lot bashing runs then a shaft-driven rides are good. I had both of the mentioned cars. The NTC3 was my favorite. Lots of aftermarket support.

thanks guys, I didnt even know the car was belt driven. I appreciate the input..I'll keep looking

I've got the RS4 3 and love it. Plenty of upgrades and can be found for about the same price as the RS4 2's. Highly recamend it for a first car.
