Well, as you can tell by my newest thread about my charger, i have a new battery. My first LiPo. My question is, how do I tell when I should stop running the battery, is it bad to hit the mark where u lose like all of the power, or should i run until then and then charge. Thanks!

As long as your running a voltage cutoff then run it till it stops.

yea, on the merv, it has the LVC, so i set it how traxxas says to so when the truck just stops that when I unplug, let it cool down for a few, and then recharge. I heard if you are going to store them for like a few days to a week, you should charge them to about 60-80%. Is this true?

Best Advice with LIPO is either run a low voltage cut off, or a low voltage alarm. By the time the car starts slowing down.....you're pretty close to being pretty late with a LIPO.

My pitman ran my bump box @ 20 seconds past where he should have at this past weekend's race....didn't tell me it was dying so I used it again....my LIPO blew up like a balloon and I had to throw it away. $99 LIPO gonezo....

If you are the Low Voltage cut off on the MERV, run it until it quits. You can then let it cool as you stated and then charge it.
