Newb Question, antenna fix

Hey all! Just joined a few days ago, and well, here I am with my first question for a fix. I got my Savage, and of course, have rolled it one to many times. Snapped the antenna tube and cut the antenna wire off. My antenna now doesn't even come through the body. Anyway, how do you fix the wire? Do you just add wire, or is there something special I need to do. I've found info on the forums on what to do to help keep the tube from breaking, once I get another tube, but need to know what to do about the wire.

You can open up the reciever and solder in a new wire. This explains it pretty well. Hope it helps.

You need the right length, since it's tuned for the frequency it's on.
