Well I'm sure some of you've seen or heard of me marring my friend's TMaxx to my mail box. Anyways, I finnaly got the parts in and started repairing my first Nitro RC! It hasn't been all that bad but was a bit confusing...I mean the part I though woulkd be hard tuned out to be easy and the easy part turned in to hell. Feeding that damn antenna wire through that tube turned into a nightmare...lets just say I pretty much need to replace either it or the receiver :( Thats all I need to start her up again and the LHS is out of them till next week. It looks like another run to ebay soon. All in all, if you love working on crap, this isn't such a bad hobby to be in. I had a blast sitting on the garage screwing this thing together. Heck, I'm thinking of buying some rollers off ebay just to build...damn this could be another form of crack :OMG: Also one small thing....damn phillips screws suck ass on these cars!!! They realy should make allen screws mandatory on these cars.

Anyways, First up is a look at the truck after all the broke parts has been emoved.

The next few shoots is of the truck and how dirty it got cruising around in the field. Yes, I've sence cleaned her up a bit but still need to clean the air filter.

Nice job! Suggestion for the antenna tube: Spray the wire and the inside of the tube with wd-40. It will slide right down (no comments please).

I may have sparyed the wrong stuff....I was using somne brake cleaner to clean some parts with..(None chol what ever that stuff is). So I sparyed some of it down the tube. I got the wire about 95% of the way then and desided to cut a 1/2 off the tube. Well the wire would not budge and so I pulled it out to relube it. Then the rubber on the wire antenna started peeling off :(

Thanks
Ray

good thing your doing. about the antena you can also use baby power. put some on you finger and run them on the wire. that also works. have fun fixing it. thats one of my favorite things about this hobby.
