Hey i just bought my new savage 4.6 but can't use it till spring, should i put sum after run oil in the motor or will it b ok for a few monthes?

if it is brand new, never started, then no, you do not need after run oil.
 
Alright cool, thanks alot. Its never been started, just wana b safe!
 
It has assembly lube in it.
While you have the time, open the engine and inspect it. LOTS of engines have machining debri in them from the factory.
 
Ill check it out when i get home. Thanksfor the heads up. I remember my friend bought a new motor, problems with it so he took it apart and there was a screwin the cylinder!
