Whats up guys thinking about getting a new touring car and have two choices in mind just wanted to know your opinions, either the Serpent impulse or the Mugen MTX-3, i did hear that the Serpent instructions were complicated but was just wondering your opinions also maybe some motor suggestions?
Thanks for the help...:hamster:

I wouldn't get an Impulse. I have owned 2 Impulse PROS and a 705. The 705 isn't worth the difference in price over the Impulse Pro in my opinion.

The MTX-3 is a nice piece and sturdy too. I currently have 3 TRINITY Reflexes and a TEAM MAGIC G4. I'd recommend either, but niot the G4 if you are a newby builder. The G4 requires a more avanced builder. The Reflex is straight forward but the instructions lack a little detail. The Serpent instructions aren't as bad as some say.

Good Luck, but stay away from the aging Impulse, not that it's a bad car, it's just not on par with the rest of the current crop of touring cars.

MTX-3 is an awesome car. The instructions are a little hard to understand if ur a newbie builder. Definitly get the novarossi engine with it.

Thanks fot the help guys, my boy has the MTX-2 with the novarossi engine and the car flys as well as rides on rails looks like i have my mind made up.:winnar:

shady - I'm gonna go with the crowd on this one regarding the MTC-3, however i am going to recommend u look into the Mugen MR12 engine. If i am correct, the kit comes with either the MT12 or engine less. Check out the MR12 instead, considerably more power, although a lil more touchy with the Turbo head, and 3 needle carb

The kit comes with the MT12. The MR12 is better though.
