How's it going everyone? 4 yrs ago or so, I ran an RC10GT. The thing was a beast! Modded to the 9's for pure all out speed! I put it up for awhile after a motor tear down and drifted from the hobby. I just bought a Maxx 2.5 on ebay for $140. Looks to be in great shape. However once I get it, a compression test will tell the real truth! Would have loved to went with a Revo or a Savage, but for the time and money I have to spend on RC these days, I figured a used T Maxx would get the job done!

All this being said, I know there are a few week points on the 2.5's.

I'm thinking the first mod to get the ball rolling would be RPM arms or a set of Big Bores. In your guys' opinion, what's the best bang for the buck mod and "must do immediately" mods for some bashing and hill climbing?

A bigger mill will come around, say December 25th!:D

Interesting. I've read this elsewhere. Wouldn't AL bulkheads cause a weaker, more expensive to replace point else?

My bad...typos. I meant, would the aluminum bulkheads cause a weak point elsewhere that could break and have to be replaced on a regular basis.

One thing with my gt that always got me was once I would upgrade one part, it would in turn cause a weak point else where...it was vicious cycle.

I guess the bulkheads are pretty solid piece that's anchored directly to the chasis. So it shouldn't really cause any other weak points.

I think I just answered my own question...

yep, I believe you did. The only thing you run risk of doing damage to is your chassis and that would take a relatively significantly hit. You must keep also keep in mind that if you upgrade to aluminum bulkheads you will be forced to upgrade to an E-clip type hinge pin because the stock screw in type pins won't work. The most popular option is Lunsford Titanium hing pins.
