New to the .21 scene... HELP

Hey guys, just got my RC Limited .21 conversion for my TMaxx. As far as gearing goes, can I use a 72t spur or do I have to use a different gearing with the bigger mill? I'm bidding on a Hyper 8 port at the moment, and was wondering what flywheel,cb,clutch nut, etc. I had to buy. I know nothing about the .21's so go easy on me...lol I'm looking at the RD Logics or THS one-piece pipes. Will these headers work on a Maxx... Please enlighten me on what I may need for this conversion as far as engine & tranny accessories...

u will love the conversion. i got my .21 conversion and my XTm 24.7 and i run a 72 tooth spur gear with an 20t clutch bell. i want to get about a 22t clutch bell tho because it does to many flipping wheelies. anywayz i just took and used the stock clutchbell, clutchnut, and flywheel from the old mill that i had in my maxx before i converted. it works really good and i havent had any problems with it.

I seem to be most informative when I'm actually in the process of building something. I'll be in your same boat as soon as I start receiving the parts. I bought the THS pipe for an Outlaw .26 as well as a bunch of other stuff. You can be sure I'll post successes in the building process as well as questioning the difficulties.

what is the old mill?

I"m in process of .21 myself. I got rid of the CS i bought yesterday and I"m ordering a S7!!!!!!

before i had changed to my 24.7 engine i had the megatech .16. with my 24.7 i had to cut the shaft down a little bit but if u have the right shaft the stock clutch assembly off of a .15 or any other smaller motor should work on it.

Cool.. Thats exactly what I wanted to know......... I have a nice heavy flywheel, Al. 3 shoe clutch & steel vented cb off of my .15 OS cvx I can use.... Very cool...

I will be putting them on a new Hyper 8 port I got off Ebay.
So far my conversion is going smooth. The holes in the chassis braces for the tranny skid are slightly off, but I'm sure I can fix it...
I'll have pics of the process loaded up soon...
