new to nitro, quick ?

hey everyone, i am new to nitro cars, and i have just recently bought a t maxx 2.5. i was just wondering if oil (at least thats what it seems like) collecting on the chassis and around the exhaust and rear right suspension is normal? or do i have my settings wrong?

perfectly normal ....the oil doesn't get all burnt in the engine ....some of it comes out .....it might be worst if you run to rich ....but you will always have that to clean ....

no prob ...and once you master it , its a real blast ....get a temp gauge if you dont already have one

i have a laser temp gauge from where i work on trucks all the time. is that the kind you are talking about? or a hard wired one?

as long as you can read your engine temp its good ...take the temp at the glowplug

i have alot of integy parts havent had a problem be shure to buy heavy duty ones and not the thin skid plates

Integy=junk. I dropped a bulkhead on the floor once and the shock tower mounting ear broke off. Don't buy anything from them except for the 3 shoe clutch.

really the only thing i was looking at was the shocks from integy, everything else i was gonna go to golden horizon or rd logics

I too have heard many bad things about Integy. I have tried their bulkheads the smaller "hollow" ones, wrecked and they crumbled like butter. I replaced with the Integy HD 7075 bulkheads and have not had a problem yet despite simlilar wrecks. I think when it comes to Integy some is good other parts are junk. With the oil residue leftover on your chassis, I extended my exhaust outlet about 2 inches with 3/8" fuel line from my local auto parts store. this puts the discharge position a little further away from the truck. Not fool proof but does make a much cleaner truck just be sure not to restrict the exhaust flow.

Thats a really good idea on the exaust extention! I will have to use that one!
