Bought a couple RC trucks today, a Tmaxx and a Savage. Bought them from a friend who wasn't home at the time so couldn't really ask any questions. Talking to his wife she said he wanted $150 for the one truck(Tmaxx) and $30 for the "one truck for parts" if I wanted it. As soon as I looked at it I knew it was a Savage but I have never had one before so IDK anything about them. From what I could tell its almost complete. Has a Monster Big Block .27 Engine but its missing speed control, receiver, and gas tank for sure. It looks like it might be missing a servo??? And I'm not seeing a spot for a battery to power the electronics? I'm very interested in getting it running and not using it for parts as I have heard awesome things about the Savage. But I guess if all else fails I could sell it as is and make my money back and then some.

Any help is appreciated

From what I see you are missing the Chassis....Should have 2 aluminum rails that run down both sides. Looks like both servos are there, the third servo would be for reverse. Battery box speed control receiver as you said and gas tank, I see the transmission, but would need to see bottom side of vehicle to make sure all the shafts and diffs are there.

From what I'm seeing it needs a lot, but Savi parts are cheap. If you have the extra cash while you are ordering parts I would def recommend a servo upgrade. The stock SF2 steering servos on the Savi are trash.

Both Chassis rails (TVP's) are both there. As you said it will need a gas tank, rx/tx and reciever battery. It appears that both servos are there. It looks like either a savage 21 or 25.

You need a RX, fuel tank, new battery box as lid and front posts are missing. You should get the savage x box much easier to use. That is a savage 21/25

Alright, I'll start piecing this thing together to see if it will even run, for all I know the whole reason its been turned into a parts truck is the engine is shot but I wouldn't mind just putting another .25 engine on it and taking off the HUGE tires it has one it.

You can test out the motor now if you wanted than go from there.

Yeah, probably will, I need a glow plug ignitor, new glow plug, and fuel. Are there different size glow plug ignitors or they all the same?

Try the mc coy 8 plug and hot shot 2 igniter.
