new tmaxx problem

so i just bought a tmaxx truck it was originally a 2.5 but the motor was replaced by a orion .21 motor and I'm having problems tuning it i was wondering if any1 had advice it runs but if i use the brakes it stalls if i dont punch it it wont stay idling and i just think it could be the tune bc the glow plug and the gas and everything are good so idk what it could be other then the tune and i was hoping someone had any kind of advice seeing i am kinda a noobie when i comes to this thank you very much

I would start by making sure your throttle trim on your transmitter is on "zero" and not below it if you are using the stock TX. Then I would raise the idle a tad and maybe lean the LSN a 1/16 or two if the idle screw doesn't help.

I'm running a futaba controller if that helps idk i tried messing with it but its still running like crap

Do you see air gaps in the fuel line? If so there is an air leak somewhere that could be causing your problem.

does your motor have good compression??? i had this same motor and mine was doin the same thing. come to find out i needed a rebuild or a new motor.
