New T-Maxx Project

It is a back burner project, but still project, I got it for free so I couldn't pass it up. I'm about to get a LST XXL and that will be my main focus along with getting my Bandit running with a wide mod Rustler conversion. My LHS gave it to me and is going to "sponsor" it as a test truck, anything that he isn't sure about or hasn't sold yet he will let me have at cost. Right now I am waiting on a Dynamite .19 to replace the worn 3.3, I am also getting a screw kit and bearing kit, it will be controlled by a FlySky FS GT3B Trx/Rx. Right now the only thing I'm getting from my LHS at cost is the engine, we're hoping it will be better than the 3.3. Well here are some pics

Believe it or not I got that 3.3 running, and it actually runs pretty good for not having any pinch when you turn it by hand.

Yea I soaked it in Simple Green overnight and then scrubbed it to get all the gummed up fuel off. I then lubed it with 3 in 1 oil and reassembled it, threw it in my Rustler and it fired right up. There is no pinch when you spin the fly wheel by hand but it actually runs pretty good, I've never run a new 3.3 so I have nothing to compare it to. I ran 3 tanks and it would flip on it's lid if I didn't use throttle control.

Alright guys, I need a little help. I am trying to order a screw kit and I want to get all hex screws. Are these any good, and how do I know which T-Maxx I have (99.9% sure it's a 2.5)?

Forget the stanless steal they are way to soft search the web and get jim's hardware much better quality

Stainless steel screws are at best ok I would look for a harder kit try looking at rc raven or fast lane machines any of your higher grade retailers should have something for

When I ordered my FLM chassis it came with some very nice hard allen screws

The only time stainless screws should be used in a hobby grade RC is if it is intended to be a shelf queen or if you intentionally want a weak link when joining parts.

I have the .19 in my Jato with a ths pipe and love it! Holds a tune well, lots of power. Had it in my 4908 max for a while but not enough power after running a .27 siro . Compares to a good running 3.3, just easier to keep running , and more consistant.
