prob this one thats where I bought it from. these red parts are not easy to come by. I also have a RC solutions roll cage on the way here for the truck. Not much more and it will be pretty much finished. Be kinda glad want to start a big block revo project. Or another big block Tmaxx one that I can beat the crap out of.

No poop,ya it had the same spur and all,lol

Well the Rc solutions roll cage came in today. Been working on setting it up. Figured out the hardway Those cages are not meant to be used on a FLM chassis. Had to file the slots down on the cage to widen them out. Got that sorted. Unfortunetly the rear exit pipe is not going to work without really cutting up the cage. So I guess I will re configure the exhaust. Here is a pic with the cage installed. Hope My trans will be here soon.:D

Well decided to mount the rear bumper tonite with the cage on. Bumper mounts were to thick. Sigh:( So I had to fire up the bench grinder. Then some got the file back out, 3 hrs later tada rear bumper mounted. I hope to get the front finished tomar nite. May have figured out how to mount the rear exhaust not sure. Gotta love these custom builds.

FLM Capt Anerica MAXX update

Well I got my trans in today. Finally got the bumpers sorted and mounted with the cage on. Man i ahd to do some serious milling to get them mounted. Now the trans does not fit in the chassis. The Flm chassis is milled out for the trans to sit down into and the alum case is to wide so I have to tear it back down and mill the mounting slots wider. I have posted some updated pics with trans sitting in it, and bumpers mounted with the cage. I think its coming along nice. I also posted some pics of some body mounts I purchased. Was wondering if anyone knows of the brand.

The flm chassis was made to expect the black trans, the 3.3 trans will not fit with out some modding. I had to grind the corners of the trans for it to fit correctly.

That case is the same as the black trans. The alum on the trans mounting tabs are not rounded off like the plastic case. So I will be widining the chassis AKA dremel so it fits down in.

I thought the trans was a revo spec 3.3. I would grind the trans not the chassis. Flm doesn't make that chassis any more.

I would mod the chassis, it’s easy to grind/buff and polish the chassis to fit the tranny to where it’s almost un-noticeable.
Modifying the tranny housing will leave an ugly scar with the red ano.

It's all preferences, the end result is the same. If you take your time you can do just as a job on the trans as you can on the chassis and the trans sits in a pocket so the scar would be unnoticed anyway.

Very true, I will be firing up the high speed Dremel tonite at some point. I borrowed one from my Bro, my EL Cheapo takes to long crappy harbor frieght. Going to drill out the bulk heads where the bumpers mount, going to use the brace as the tightning point. The threads got srewed up while lining up all the parts together. Just wondering has anyone had to do this before. I just can't seem to get the srews straight and threaded right with all that dang Alum.:D

The bulks shouldn’t be threaded where the bumper mount/bulk brace is, that’s an Integy design flaw… Drill them out to 1/8 inch.
When assembling a lot of aluminum, its best to assemble as much as you can before tightening screws and applying lock-tight.

Yah I drilled them. Did not have much choice. I had to cut up the cage a little more. But you can't tell to bad. Took forever to get the chassis milled down to fit trans. I could not bring myself to grind on that trans. should be getting my cvd's in a week or so. Also I take it those RC solutions cages are not ment to run body mounts thats why I had to cut the cage some. I had have those body mounts I think those are sweet.:D I will post some update pics sunday evening I hope
