Hello all,

My name is Paul and I just bought my VERY first R/C truck. I haven't owned an electric or anything before this so I'm sure my inexperience will show through.

Well I pretty much bought a basket case. I had my eye on a new Jato when this Sportmaxx (converted to 4WD)fell into my lap. When I receved it it was in three different shoe boxes....lol I have put this truck together from the ground up. The last time it ran the owner had hit a tree at full throttle and wiped out the front suspension so all of those parts are new.

I tore the motor apart tonight and the carb just to make sure it is ready. (just ordered a new Pro line fuel tank with lines and filter, also fuel and glow plugs)

I have included a few pictures so if you spot something I installed wrong please let me know. I am missing some screws so I just ordered a full screw set from Tony's screws to put it all back together right.

One last thing what is the factory setting for the HSN,LSN, and idle screw? I'm thinking I will be better to start from there.

Thank you!!

you need a reciver box and a battery box and back bumper your back right wheel is toed out otherwise it looks nice

Sorry should have stated I have all of those parts just not the screws to secure them yet. As for the alignment.... how do I do one?

You want your wheels to toe in ever so slightly. With them toed out it will handle quite bad. On the turnbuckles there is a hex in the middle, you will need to turn that. One side is a reverse thread, so depending in which way you turn it will either bring the wheels in or push them out further.

By the way, do you own a YJ?

As a matter of fact I do!

Its a 95 4.0,AX-15 on 35's with many more mods!

Very nice! I had a 90 on 33 BFGs, 3 inch lift, and many mods, stupidly I sold it when I moved to NY from Florida. But I HAD to have another one I missed it so bad. So now I have a 89, 4.2 with a weber 34/36, it's only on 31s right now, but that will be changing, I also plan to do an 8.8 swap for the rear D35 .

Well, welcome fellow Jeeper to RCNT
