That is true, but the time and money saved in fixing stuff is worth it for me. Got a (barely) used 410.3 for not much more than a used Slash would cost. Throw in a 1/10 SCT hobbywing combo, a mid range chinese servo and done.

We race our SCTs on rocky dusty gravel, a terrible surface for trucks. Since we all slowly switched from Slash to 410.3, there's way more driving and less cussing and fixing on the track.

If you can, get the kit and let him build it. It’s a really good kit for a first build. It’s got everything to get it going to (we did swap the servo though just because I had one laying around)

hes only 7 and has a super short attention span currently. he gets distracted and a kit would end up just being my new toy honestly. I've tried to get him to help me repair em but he just complains the whole time lolool

Breydon is the same way now. He used to be more into it. But now he has a couple new friends here that may respark his RC interest. So if his friends come back today we're going to break out some bashers and let them go have some fun. I'm just worried the 6S Kraton with all the aluminum upgrades is going to take a leg off

That reminds me of the time when I had just got my Bandit, and then ran it right into my leg at around 25mph...
